Without it, your album is like a book without a cover. Creating good album artwork takes time, but it is well worth the effort. Be sure to consider the above purposes as you design it. apple is awesome and the new apple is doing amazing stuff but not without taking a step or two backwards too which is extremely frustrating if you relied on those little and easily forgotten features.Keeping your audience in mind while still showing your artistic and musical expression is central in making your album cover. An album’s art used to be one unchanging image. kinda like how they removed podcasts from the music app and released a stand alone app. I just don't see the practicality in it and basically think they removed something that functioned for people that cared and replaced it with something that won't function for anyone at all.

I don't know what it's called but whatever this new thing is that replaced cover flow is going to be used even less than cover flow and probably ridiculed even more. this sucks and goes to show how lazy people have gotten. I know in my group of friends I was maybe 1 of 2 people that had all of their album art setup correctly and we both enjoyed it but I don't think the common user wanted to make the effort. I'm very sad to see cover flow go and honestly think it's only because people were too lazy to spend the extra minute to google the album art. I do agree that if you're trying to use the music player in regular mode and the phone accidentally tilts and slips into cover flow, that is pretty annoying but to quickly browse to a cd or to see if you even have that cd, browsing through cover flow was quicker and more pleasant than using the regular mode. I've never had an issue of cover flow lagging or being "bogged" down either so I've always loved it and used it. Most of the people here complaining about how useless cover flow is probably didn't set album art for all of their albums. This subreddit is not endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc.
